Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive product innovation roadmap that supports the overall business strategy and responds proactively to market dynamics.
  • Lead efforts to instill a culture of creativity, adaptability, and continuous improvement throughout the engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure cohesive project alignment for successful product launches.
  • Guide the engineering team in crafting innovative prototypes and scalable designs that push the boundaries of current technological capabilities.
  • Review and validate technical documentation to uphold high standards through design reviews and rigorous validation protocols.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to our product portfolio.
  • Oversee multiple product development projects simultaneously, maintaining a strong focus on timely delivery, budget compliance, and meeting quality benchmarks.
  • Prioritise product development initiatives based on their strategic significance, technical viability, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and optimise robust development processes, such as stage-gate and agile methodologies.
  • Manage, mentor, and build a high-performing team of engineers with diverse backgrounds.
  • Establish clear performance measurements and conduct regular assessments.
  • Encourage a collaborative and inclusive workspace that enhances interdepartmental communication, creativity, and accountability.
  • Act as the main technical liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in product development, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of launching successful products in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of product lifecycle management, design thinking, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with new product development, smart technologies, and global product development.
