Role Overview

The Business System Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, configure, and support business systems. This role requires a strong understanding of business requirements, technical knowledge of PROS and SAP interfaces, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Business Requirements
    • Meet with business users, management, and other cross-functional teams to understand defined business requirements in sufficient detail.
    • Document the functional business requirements in a requirements document.
  • Design and Implement Business Systems
    • Lead blueprinting sessions with external vendor and global cross-functional teams.
    • Evaluate solutions to business requirements and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Support Configuration
    • Translate business requirements into configuration with help from other team members and consultants/PROS lead consultants.
    • Work to develop, test, and migrate the required configuration to production.
  • Develop Development Specifications
    • Document the required functionality, input, and output for ABAP/CDS views/PROS Control & Guidance/PROS Smart CPQ.
    • Provide oversight to offshore developers to ensure requirements are understood.

This is a challenging role that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PROS and SAP, with experience in configuring and supporting complex business systems.

As a Business System Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting business systems that meet the needs of the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into functional business requirements documents.
