Job Overview

Hardware Design Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development of power electronics systems, including battery management interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop hardware architecture and component specifications for high-voltage (400V–800V) battery systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Guide PCB layout for high-power designs, ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management.
  • Validate and test prototypes in lab and vehicle environments.
  • Maintain compliance with automotive standards, including ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Source and integrate components, such as MCUs, ADCs, op-amps, shunt resistors, Hall-effect sensors, and isolation devices.
  • Design schematics and PCB layouts using tools like Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCAD, adhering to automotive standards.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in hardware design engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics systems, including BMS and battery management interfaces.
  • Experience with PCB layout and design, including EMI/EMC compliance and thermal management.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards, including ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
