Job Title: Theatre Support Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Theatre Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that the operating theatre is equipped with all necessary medical equipment and that they are in working condition.

Your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain all medical equipment in the theatre, including the anaesthesia machine, single or multichannel monitor, pulse oximeter, diathermy machine, C-arm, OT table, portable suction, OT light, laparoscopic machine, and harmonic scalpel.

You will also be responsible for ensuring central supply of oxygen and nitrous oxide, as well as maintaining Boyle's apparatus, which includes checking oxygen and nitrogen cylinders, central supply line, flow meters, cylinder key, urine bags, masks, corrugated tubes, and soda lime connectors.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist anesthetists and surgeons during surgery at the time of intubation, extubation, and keep drugs for IV infusions and blood transfusions ready. You will also position patients according to the surgery and impart training to juniors/new inductees.

We are looking for a highly skilled individual with a strong understanding of medical equipment and their maintenance. You should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
