We are seeking a talented Business Development Manager to lead strategic partnerships with educational institutions. This role is ideal for professionals with strong institutional sales experience and a proven ability to build senior stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for executing sales plans to acquire institutional partners, driving the full sales cycle, engaging with key decision-makers, and building long-term strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning regional targets and executing sales plans to acquire institutional partners.
- Driving the full sales cycle: lead generation, outreach, pitching, negotiation, and onboarding.
- Engaging with senior leaders to position Zolo as a preferred student accommodation partner.
- Building long-term strategic relationships with institutions for recurring or scaled partnerships.
- Negotiating contracts, closing deals, and ensuring seamless handover to operations.
- Maintaining detailed funnel tracking and ensuring consistent pipeline hygiene and conversion.
- Traveling extensively within the assigned region for on-ground relationship building.
- Reporting progress and insights to the BU Head and collaborating cross-functionally with operations and marketing teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in B2B sales or business development with institutional clients, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage senior leaders.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive territory-level sales targets.
- Comfortable with frequent travel within the region.
- Strong analytical skills to manage pipeline and forecast revenue.
