Accounting Assistant

At our textile company, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support the accounts team in clearing pending backlog work and assisting in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

This role offers hands-on exposure to practical accounting tasks and compliance processes while ensuring smooth functioning of day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in clearing and streamlining accounting backlogs (data entry, reconciliations, adjustments).
  • Support the accounts team in recording purchase, sales, expense, and journal entries in Tally Prime.
  • Help in bank reconciliations and cross-checking ledger balances.
  • Assist in GST, TDS, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain proper filing and organization of invoices, challans, and vouchers.
  • Prepare and update supporting schedules as directed by senior accountants.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the accounts team for ongoing work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with Tally Prime is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
