Portfolio Manager Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio details of private equity funds to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Update investor-specific reporting templates with quarterly bespoke data, providing transparency and insight.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of PE fund performance through cash flow analysis and quarterly/financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Calculate fund valuation data, including investment cost, realized/unrealized value, gross/net multiple, and financial KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Track operational KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders, fostering a culture of accountability.
  • Create and update fund track records, reconciling data using cash flow notices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform fund analytics, such as attribution and value creation analysis, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Reconcile portfolio level operational data, including geographical presence and headquarter information, to optimize resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with teams to facilitate timely information exchange and communicate client status regularly, ensuring seamless collaboration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate degree or CFA/CA/MBA/CCRA/CIIA/CAIA equivalent qualification, demonstrating expertise in finance and accounting.
  • 1-10 years of relevant experience in Management Reporting or Operational Finance, preferably with research experience, showcasing analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in E-front, Power BI, Microsoft Access, and MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel, highlighting technical competence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail and emphasis on producing high-quality work products.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, demonstrating adaptability and resilience.
  • Capacity to show initiative, willingness to learn, and take on additional responsibilities as a contributing team member, showcasing growth mindset.
