Job Opportunity: Software Engineering Leadership

About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled software engineer to lead our team and contribute to impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote collaboration and influence senior stakeholders
  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions using creative problem-solving skills
  • Conduct design reviews and code reviews throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with other systems
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met
  • Analyze large data sets, developing visualizations and reporting to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Work closely with product teams to understand business requirements and user acceptance testing teams to support during UAT phases
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data, driving improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Cultivate a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and respectful team culture
  • Achieve defined goals and adhere to committed timelines
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience
  • Strong skills in object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD), data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficiency in coding in Java 17, Spring Boot, and SQL databases
  • Advanced knowledge of two or more technologies, including functional programming, BPMN, microservices, RESTful web services development, JMS, Kafka, Hibernate
  • Experience with JDBC/JPBA frameworks like Hibernate or MyBatis
  • Cloud expertise, including strong hands-on cloud native architecture - Azure/AWS, containerization/kubernetes
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, non-functional requirements like resiliency, performance, and security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
