About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax-related transactions. This includes verifying security transaction tax notes, calculating advance income tax payable, and validating TDS/service tax/STT returns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tax Compliance:
    • PAYMENT OF DIRECT/INDIRECT TAXES - Verify the Security Transaction Tax note initiated from membership department against the STT calculated from clearing data and send for authorization to HOD.
    • CALCULATE ADVANCE INCOME TAX PAYABLE - Collate the P&L information of each Company to calculate the Advance Income Tax payable; & to verify a note containing the amount of Income Tax to be paid by each Company on a quarterly basis
    • TAX RETURNS FILING AND CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE:
      • VALIDATE TDS/ST RETURNS - Validate the TDS/ST returns. Validate that the total of values in form 16A matches the total tax liability
      • TAX AND VAT AUDITS:
        • PREPARE INCOME COMPUTATION REPORT - Prepare the income computation report based on the audit reports and send to consultants/auditors for validation. Handle specific / critical queries from the auditors if any.
