Job Title

This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in Unified Communications engineering.

  • UC Engineering Expertise: Proficient in designing and troubleshooting clusters, inter-cluster trunks, and high availability configurations for CUCM, CUC, IM & Presence, and Expressways.
  • Telephony Integration: In-depth understanding of SIP trunks, PRIs with carriers, including codec negotiation, SIP headers, PRIs, and call routing logic.
  • Call Flow Architecture: End-to-end design and implementation of call flows across multiple platforms (CUCM, Unity, UCCX/UCCE, Expressway).
  • Network Optimization: Capacity planning, scalability, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies for Unified Communications networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead UC Engineering Teams: Direct the work of UC engineers to ensure delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Develop UC Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy UC solutions that meet business needs.
  • Improve UC Operations: Analyze UC system performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Unified Communications engineering with expertise in UC architecture, telephony integration, and network optimization.
  • UC Certifications: Possession of relevant UC certifications such as CCIE or CCNA Voice.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of UC technologies, protocols, and standards.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience in a technical team environment.
