Job Title: Electrical Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Operations Director to lead our electrical operations team at Naini Papers. This is a senior management role responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our power plant.

Responsibilities:

  • A. Services and Utility:
  • Oversee Power Generation: Ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the power plant.
  • Manage Operations: Direct maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to equipment and facilities.
  • Develop Budgets: Create and manage budgets for operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
  • Lead Teams: Supervise and motivate personnel, including engineers, technicians, and operators.
  • Ensure Compliance: Enforce regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Plan Capital Projects: Develop and execute capital projects to improve plant efficiency and capacity.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers, regulatory agencies, and customers.
  • Analyze Performance: Monitor and analyze plant performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans (daily/weekly/monthly).
  • Oversee Load sharing with all the turbine and with Grid.
  • Oversee PMS & Load shedding system.
  • Turbine synchronisation operation with Grid and another turbine.
  • Forecast and manage spare part requirements.
  • Coordinate with departments during breakdowns and planned shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Optimize resource and material usage effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to technicians and junior engineers.
  • Prepare lists of spare parts, forecast needs, and raise indents to stores.
  • Create bills of materials for project and modification works.
  • Plan and execute shutdown jobs, including the preparation of job lists.
  • Liaise with stores and purchase departments for timely procurement of spares.
  • Oversee ongoing projects and upgrade activities across the plant.

B. Quality:

  • Leadership: Strategic planning, team management, and communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Time Management: Prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines.

  • Communication: Clear, concise reporting.

  • Conduct failure analysis to identify recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Implement and sustain 5S practices for workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Develop and execute power-saving initiatives to reduce energy costs.

C. Cost/Unit:

  • Monitor and analyze SCADA system performance for optimization.
  • Manage and maintain MIS reports for decision-making.
  • Assess individual and team performance, driving improvements where needed.

D. Safety:

  • Develop and maintain a safety-first work culture.
  • Conduct regular safety audits to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Implement and monitor a weekly safety checklist to identify and mitigate risks.

Compensation: The salary for this position is approximately ₹25,00,000 - ₹35,00,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. This is a competitive package that reflects the importance of this role in our organization.
