Project Planning Professional Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 for EPC/Infrastructure projects.
  • Establish robust project baselines, monitor deviations, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and execution for integrated planning and execution.
Monitoring & Control:
  • Implement effective project monitoring systems and progress reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs such as cost, time, productivity, and resource utilization to identify areas for improvement.
  • Highlight potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks to management with mitigation plans to minimize their impact on the project.
Leadership & Coordination:
  • Lead cross-functional central planning teams and site-based planners to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Standardize planning processes, templates, and best practices across projects to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Collaborate with finance and execution teams to align project schedules with cash flow and milestones, ensuring a smooth project delivery.
Strategic Planning & Support:
  • Support senior management in tender planning, resource forecasting, and project recovery plans.
  • Provide strategic planning inputs for risk management and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure alignment of project schedules with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical preferred).
  • At least 15+ years of experience in project planning for EPC/Infrastructure industry.
  • Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Project scheduling tools.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional planning teams for multi-location projects.
