Job Overview

Evidence Action is seeking a seasoned leader to join our team. The Associate Director - Safe Water Operations will oversee all programmatic operations across multiple Indian states and lead teams in functional areas of learning agenda and market shaping.

This role's primary responsibility is to serve as a leader of a large and growing program operations team capable of building and executing on systems.

Key responsibilities include leading national operations and scale-up of water treatment devices, maintaining a focus on scale and developing systems and processes, overseeing rapid response in the event of operational challenges, and providing implementation and policy recommendations.

The Associate Director - Safe Water Operations will also be responsible for identifying and overseeing the development and implementation of guidelines, trackers, and tools, jointly conducting monthly state reviews, establishing and holding teams to milestones, and travel within India as required.

Learning Agenda

The Associate Director - Safe Water Operations will oversee the development of a programmatic learning agenda spanning areas of technology, community engagement, market shaping, among others.

This includes overseeing the refinement, iteration, and testing of devices, overseeing field installations, and proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and contingencies in program implementation.

Market Shaping

The Associate Director - Safe Water Operations will oversee programmatic market shaping team and identify mechanisms to increase national adoption of chlorination technologies.

This includes leading team and resources responsible for drafting pro-forma tender and other contracting guidelines shared with national and state governments, coordinating with program management units and state leadership for distribution, and planning and overseeing the execution of events at the national and state level.
