Financial Risk Analyst Role

We are seeking a seasoned Consultant Expert to join our RISQ/RMA/HPC team as second line of defense within the Risk Function. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) management for funds, proprietary trading groups, and CCPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze financial data on clients to prepare high-quality analysis addressing credit risk and transaction risk.
  • Perform risk assessments, including due diligence on clients when required.
  • Effectively challenge credit ratings and limits proposed by the first line of defense.
  • Monitor risk exposures across various metrics and indicators, and assess counterparty creditworthiness.
  • Raise alerts as necessary to the business, first line of defense, and 2nd line of defense management.
  • Review or propose risk mitigation strategies when deemed necessary.
  • Present recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers.
  • Coordinate credit requests, liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to transversal analyses and projects, such as reviewing methodologies or CCR management processes.
  • Ensure awareness of and adherence to internal policies and guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of overall credit analysis experience in Financial Institution space.
  • CA degree/MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certifications like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are desirable.
