Job Title: Data Quality Assurance Leader

This is a leadership role within the Quality Assurance (QA) team, specializing in data quality assurance for software applications. The individual will lead and manage the data quality assurance efforts within an organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data quality strategy aligned with organizational objectives to ensure accurate, complete, consistent, and timely data delivery.
  • Define standards and best practices for data quality assurance processes, including validation, cleansing, and monitoring.
  • Lead efforts to profile and analyze data across systems to identify issues related to accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness, ensuring data quality initiatives align with business needs.
  • Establish and enforce data quality assurance processes, including data validation, cleansing, and monitoring, to maintain high-quality data standards.
  • Design and implement data quality checks and controls to prevent data quality issues and improve overall data integrity.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure data quality and provide regular reports on data quality metrics and trends to stakeholders.
  • Maintain documentation on data quality issues, resolutions, and improvements to facilitate continuous learning and improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data quality analysts or engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide guidance on data quality best practices and ensure the team's professional development, staying up-to-date with industry developments and advancements.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Data Test Automation, Data Comparison and Validation.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, databases, DB Procedures, Packages, and Functions, as well as proficiency in SQL and scripting languages for data analysis and validation.
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and platforms for profiling, cleansing, and monitoring data, including experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and solve data quality issues, excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, and leadership skills to guide and inspire a team focused on data quality.
  • Experience with project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of data quality initiatives, as well as CI/CD, bit bucket/git knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
