The role of Chief Quality Assurance Officer involves overseeing the overall quality of software applications, data, and development processes. This individual will be responsible for managing and refining software QA practices, defining and reporting on key quality metrics, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all system data and application features are of the highest quality.

This leader will lead a team of Quality Assurance Engineers in building test cases and automating QA workflows. They will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Software Engineering and work closely with the Vice President of Data and Analytics.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as computer science or engineering.
  • More than 10 years of experience in quality assurance.
  • A strong understanding of application, data, and API testing, as well as QA manual and automation processes and software testing lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies and use of automated testing software (Agile/Scrum/SAFe, Playwright, Cucumber, TestRails, Selenium).
  • A good understanding of web-based technology architecture and data structure.
  • Strong database skills (SQL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience testing business solutions delivered on SaaS models.
  • Planning, designing, implementation, and use of automated test suites.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership: Defining and implementing the QA strategy aligned with business and engineering goals.
  • Establishing quality standards, KPIs, and metrics to measure and improve product quality.
  • Process & Methodology: Developing and maintaining robust QA processes, including test planning, execution, automation, and reporting.
  • Championing Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to integrate QA seamlessly into the development lifecycle.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC.
  • Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating quality risks early in the development process.
