Senior Solutions Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing end-to-end solutions for IT change, ensuring they meet functional, non-functional, service, and security requirements.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to make a significant impact on our organization's architecture journey. The successful candidate will work closely with product owners, architects, platform teams, and other project colleagues to agree on trade-offs between long-term and short-term goals.

  • Define end-to-end solutions for IT change that meet business outcomes.
  • Create designs that are fit for purpose from a functional, non-functional, service, and security point of view.
  • Deliver solutions that progress the overall architecture journey and align with IT strategy.
  • Comply with standards, design approaches, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Solutions Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Produce design options with associated costs, benefits, and risks to enable investment decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints.
  • Ensure component parts deliver against business outcome.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Detailed knowledge of the Solution Architect process, including governance and standards.
  • Service & security fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to peers and project colleagues.
  • Strong personal impact and influence.
  • Good stakeholder and relationship management.
