Manual Tester Job Description

We are seeking a diligent Manual Tester to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing manual functional testing of web and mobile applications, as well as executing and maintaining test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on requirements.
  • The successful applicant must also validate bug fixes, track issues in the bug tracking system, and ensure they are resolved. Additionally, they will conduct regression testing to guarantee existing functionality remains stable.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills are essential for success in this role, as the individual will collaborate with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Defect Detection Rate: Achieve ≥ 95% of critical issues identified before release.
  • Defect Leakage: Maintain ≤ 5% of high-severity issues reported post-release.
  • Test Coverage: Validate ≥ 90% of functional requirements per sprint.
  • Bug Closure Rate: Ensure ≥ 90% of reported bugs are resolved within committed sprints.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in manual QA testing for SaaS or enterprise platforms.
  • Strong understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools is required.
  • Able to write clear and structured test cases.
