Job Title: Senior Engineering Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineering Manager to lead our engineering teams in delivering high-quality projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for defining project scope, managing planning, resourcing, and scheduling all engineering-related activities.

In this role, you will provide technical leadership, integrate disciplines, and resolve issues to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly coordinated and executed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project scope and develop effective change management systems
  • Provide input into monthly progress reports concerning design progress, issues of concern, and recommended changes
  • Contribute to the development of project execution plans in collaboration with project leadership teams
  • Maintain contact with client management at key milestones/tollgates throughout the project
  • Direct and review engineering activities to ensure work quality is satisfactory
  • Raise safety awareness and apply design-for-safety principles to projects
  • Ensure engineering risk assessments are carried out and issues are addressed
  • Arrange and facilitate design reviews and participate in engineering and management reviews as required
  • Coordinate quality audit verifications to ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and internal procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Typically 12-15 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment on major projects
  • Typically 3 years of experience in managing design engineering teams working on major projects
  • Postgraduate or graduate in an engineering discipline
  • Registration as a professional engineer with the governing authority (preferable)
