Data Governance Specialist

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to spearhead data governance initiatives across the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex data concepts to stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulatory requirements is essential, along with experience working with business units to embed and adopt data standards.
  • Prior experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of domain-specific data governance needs, is highly desirable.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data strategy roadmaps, facilitating data stewardship, and providing guidance on data management and governance concepts.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data governance initiatives, supporting data quality policy & procedures within data management tools.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and maintain data standards, facilitating effective data stewardship.
  • Provide expert guidance on data management and governance concepts, preferably within the banking industry.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of data concepts.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting & Finance, or related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Data Management within the Banking & Financial Services industry.
