Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for managing procurement, warranty, insurance, disposal, and stores inspection activities to ensure cost-effective sourcing, compliance with regulations, and timely availability of materials, spares, and equipment.

The Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist will support operational efficiency, safety, and reliability standards while building strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain functions.

  • Source and procure aircraft spares, tools, consumables, and technical equipment at optimum cost and quality.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, warranties, and insurance claims to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  • Handle inspection, acceptance, and storage of incoming parts and consumables in line with regulatory standards (MOE, SMS, etc.).
  • Monitor procurement KPIs such as on-time procurement rate, vendor performance, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
  • Support disposal of obsolete/unserviceable parts, ensuring compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
  • Oversee invoice clearance, backlog resolution, and dispute management with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze supply chain data and recommend process/system enhancements to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop, coach, and manage team performance to ensure high levels of delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

The Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for:

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Source and procure aircraft spares, tools, consumables, and technical equipment at optimum cost and quality.
  2. Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, warranties, and insurance claims to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
  3. Inventory Management: Handle inspection, acceptance, and storage of incoming parts and consumables in line with regulatory standards (MOE, SMS, etc.).
  4. Procurement Analytics: Monitor procurement KPIs such as on-time procurement rate, vendor performance, inventory turnover, and cost savings.
  5. Disposal and Sustainability: Support disposal of obsolete/unserviceable parts, ensuring compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
  6. Invoice Clearance and Dispute Resolution: Oversee invoice clearance, backlog resolution, and dispute management with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  7. Process Improvement: Analyze supply chain data and recommend process/system enhancements to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  8. Team Leadership: Develop, coach, and manage team performance to ensure high levels of delivery and compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical understanding of aircraft spares, tools, and consumables desirable.
  • Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and deliver under deadlines.
