As a Senior ETL Database Tester, you will be responsible for validating the Extract Transform Load processes and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data across data pipelines and warehouses.

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for ETL workflows.
  • Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading procedures across staging, DWH, and DataMart layers.
  • Perform data reconciliation, row count checks, and column level validations between source and target systems.

Close collaboration with ETL developers, data engineers, and business analysts is essential to understand transformation logic and business rules.

Documentation in tools like JIRA and HP ALM, as well as traceability matrices and defect logs, are expected.

Automate repetitive testing tasks using scripting languages such as Python or Shell.

Required skills include:

  • SQL expertise, including joins, subqueries, analytical functions, and performance tuning.
  • ETL Tools, including Informatica, Talend, and SSIS.
  • Database Platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, and PostgreSQL.
  • Operating Systems, including Windows, Unix, and Linux.
  • Scripting, including Shell scripting and Python.

With 5-8 years of experience, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including ETL / Datawarehouse testing, SQL & Database testing, Python Data Automation Testing, and Selenium-Java -Testing.
