Chandigarh University Academic Staff Position

We invite applications from highly skilled professionals for the position of Professor in our Department of Pharmacy.

About the Role

The selected candidate will contribute to teaching, research, innovation, academic leadership, and institutional development at the highest standards. This includes:

  1. Delivering lectures, practicals, and tutorials to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students in core and allied areas of Pharmacy.
  2. Mentoring students through academic advising, project guidance, internships, and placements.
  3. Developing innovative pedagogy, e-learning content, and laboratory resources to enhance student learning experience.
  4. Ensuring curriculum compliance with PCI and AICTE guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning
  • Promote a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, staying updated with emerging trends and technologies.
  • Design and deliver high-quality courses, integrating theory and practice, to equip students with advanced skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among students.
Research & Innovation
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in cutting-edge areas of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, publishing high-quality papers in indexed journals.
  • Supervise M.Pharm and Ph.D. research scholars, guiding them towards achieving their research goals.
  • File patents, copyrights, and contribute to technology transfer, enhancing the university's reputation and economic impact.
Institutional & Administrative Contributions
  • Participate in academic planning, accreditation processes (NBA, NAAC, NIRF, QS), and departmental committees, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Support collaborations with industry, hospitals, and international institutions, fostering partnerships that benefit the university and its stakeholders.
Eligibility CriteriaProfessor (Pharmacy)
  • Qualification: Ph.D. in Pharmacy (or allied specialization) with first class at Bachelor's or Master's level (B.Pharm/M.Pharm).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience, with 5 years as Associate Professor.
  • Research Profile: Minimum 10–15 quality publications in indexed journals, with record of guiding doctoral students and evidence of funded research projects/patents.
