Job Title: Procurement Strategist

About the Role

This role involves identifying and preparing infrastructure projects for tender. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract conditions, pricing strategies, and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tender Identification & Evaluation
  • Track government e-procurement portals to identify relevant tenders
  • Evaluate eligibility criteria and scope of work before participating
  • Prepare tender synopsis and present feasibility reports to management
Tender Preparation & Submission
  • Coordinate with teams to gather necessary inputs
  • Compile technical & financial bids as per client requirements
  • Ensure timely submission of bids with complete documentation
Cost Estimation & Pricing
  • Analyze BOQ, material, manpower, and subcontracting requirements
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on competitor analysis
Liaison & Coordination
  • Communicate with government bodies, consultants, and clients
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
  • Follow-up on tender results and maintain relationships
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain updated vendor registrations and statutory compliances
  • Ensure adherence to legal and technical documentation in tenders
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Business Administration
  • 5–8 years' experience in procurement/contracts in infrastructure/construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of EPC, PPP, BOT tendering models
  • Proficiency in government e-procurement portals
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to handle multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with strong compliance mindset
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Tender Success Ratio (% bids won vs. submitted)
  • Timely submission of bids without compliance errors
  • Accuracy of cost estimates
