Software Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical software quality assurance specialist to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and focusing particularly on database testing.

As a software quality assurance specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.
  • Database Testing: Conduct extensive database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Bug Identification and Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and performance issues using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Testing Methodologies: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with organizational software development and testing standards and analyze test results to provide clear, detailed reports on software performance and issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in software testing (Freshers with strong knowledge are welcome to apply).
  • SDLC and STLC Knowledge: Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in manual testing, automation testing using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium, and database testing using SQL.
  • Tool Proficiency: Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Trello.
  • Methodology Knowledge: Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
