Job Title: Nautical Advisor

The Nautical Advisor plays a vital role in supporting daily marine activities by providing expert advice and guidance on all aspects of marine operations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support marine self-verification (inspection) activities to ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE expectations and participate in safety programs
  • Develop marine procedures, systems, and processes for safe and compliant marine operations
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to other team members on nautical matters
  • Offer regional/global guidance on issues related to marine navigation, ship handling, and seamanship
  • Assist in the day-to-day stewardship of chartered marine vessels
  • Apply industry-standard evaluation tools to assess vessel quality and efficiency
  • Participate in risk assessment and hazard ID initiatives relating to marine vessel operations

Requirements:

  • Expertise in marine operations and nautical advice
  • Strong understanding of HSSE expectations and safety programs
  • Ability to develop and implement effective marine procedures and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
