Job Title: Innovation Engineer

This role is responsible for leading the conceptualization, design, and development of new technologies and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in system design and development, with a strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing processes, and laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions within the time frame.
  • Perform detailed mechanical analysis and simulations using state-of-the-art engineering tools to evaluate the feasibility and performance of new designs.
  • Develop and execute testing protocols to validate new designs and ensure they meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Explore and apply cutting-edge materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to improve design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to inform and inspire innovation.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and familiar with interpretation of simulations.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Ability to influence standardized approaches or challenge status quo.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Additional Information:

This position will require less than 10% domestic and/or international travel.
