Senior Infrastructure Architect

 

Our technology infrastructure team is seeking a seasoned system architect to help us design, build, and operate large-scale high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

 

Job Description:

  • Design, implement, and manage complex HPC platforms used for quantitative finance and advanced research.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes through strategic infrastructure investments.
  • Develop and maintain technical architectures that meet business requirements and ensure scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to design, deploy, and operate cutting-edge HPC, cloud, and AI/ML workloads at scale.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and operating large-scale HPC environments, preferably in financial services or HPC industries.
  • Expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with distributed file systems (Lustre, GPFS) and various filesystems (ZFS, XFS, ext4).
  • Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including 10GE/25GE, InfiniBand, RoCE, RDMA.
  • Experience with Linux software RAID, hardware RAID, and erasure encoding.
  • Infrastructure automation skills: Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
  • Scripting expertise: Python and Shell.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML HPC offerings on cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Experience with HPC job schedulers (Slurm, Condor, Airflow, SGE).
  • Hardware familiarity: HPE, Dell, Supermicro systems.
  • Commitment to the highest standards of engineering and operational excellence.
