High Performance Systems Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems and applications.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with complex systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to improve overall system reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and support tools, services, and applications to maintain a reliable site environment.
- Monitor, measure, and optimize system performance and network communication.
- Develop and implement Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Provide technical support for systems and platforms according to application SLA's.
- Identify and articulate severity of impacts using provided monitoring tools and escalate as needed.
- Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions and prevent recurring problems.
- Implement changes to platforms with minimal impact to the business by following enterprise standards and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in an IT field or related field, plus 3 years experience in design/administration/support of one or more platforms.
- Or Bachelor's degree in an IT field, plus 2 years experience in design/administration/support of one or more platforms.
- Experience with ops automation using a scripting language such as Python or Ansible.
- Site Reliability Engineering: knowledge of theories and methodologies of reliability engineering.
- Performance Measurement and Tuning: knowledge of system performance, testing, and programming.
- CI/CD Pipeline: knowledge of concepts, values, and tools applied in building CI, CD, and CD pipelines.
- Kubernetes and AWS: experience required.
- Docker: good to have.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with VMWare VDI implementations.
- Experience with Dynatrace APM and synthetic monitoring.
