Senior Pharmacist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pharmacist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Pharmacist will be responsible for leading the pharmacy team, providing expert clinical guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Management: Compounding and dispensing medications as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients drug therapies, and advising interventions.
  2. Customer Service: Instructing patients on how and when to take prescribed medications, conducting health and wellness screenings, and providing immunizations and other medical services.
  3. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate customer records, including verifying order entries, maintaining records of controlled substances, charges, and removing expired and/or damaged drugs from inventory.
  4. Safety and Quality: Ensuring a safe and clean working environment, adhering to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Performing other administrative tasks as needed, including completing operational requirements of the pharmacy.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Pharmacy or related field.
  • Registration with the relevant pharmacy authority.
  • Extensive experience in a senior pharmacist role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
