We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our software asset management team. This mid-management role involves overseeing the management of open-source software components, ensuring compliance and optimizing usage.

This key position requires a strong understanding of open-source licensing and contract terms. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client-facing delivery teams, leading and coaching more junior members.

Foster and develop strong networks with key service line champions in the firm. Review and apply licensing metrics to complex IT environments.

The ideal candidate will possess a professional services mindset, ability to manage several projects simultaneously, and take initiative/make decisions under pressure. Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies ie Oracle, Windows, Linux etc is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage software licensing and SAM IT networks, applications and infrastructure
  • Project Management Execution and delivery of client engagements
  • Manage client-facing delivery teams, leading and coaching more junior members
  • Foster and developing strong networks (local, area, global) with key service line champions in the firm
  • Review and apply licensing metrics to complex IT environments
  • Client-oriented, professional services mindset
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and take initiative/make decisions under pressure
  • Understanding of IT Process, IT Infrastructure (applications, databases and operating system) and related technologies ie Oracle, Windows, Linux etc
  • Ability to identify engagement issues/risks and the confidence to pursue solutions with key internal or external stakeholders
  • Works well in a diverse team and enjoys a dynamic environment where remote working is required
  • Highly competent at interpreting data, analyzing problems and formulating solutions to present to management level and above.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, virtualization technologies, network topologies, software vendor license agreements and licensing terms
  • Interaction with software publisher, internal business team for software license compliance & terms
  • Open Source Management: Oversee the inventory and tracking of open-source software, including understanding and applying open-source licenses and compliance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Should be a Graduate/Post Graduate from a recognized University
  • Understands and masters the software licensing for at least three big publishers like Microsoft, Oracle, VMWare, SAP etc
  • Robust SAM experience
  • Ability to handle Software Audits independently
  • SAM Tool Knowledge (Service Now preferable), ELP Creation/ License Compliance Position, Contract Management

Preferred qualifications (Desired Experience):

  • Microsoft Certified Professional Big 4 experience and training 5 to 7 years of SAM or
  • Post graduate degree or higher 4 to 5 years experience in IT or project management/service delivery, operational/software asset management or consulting
  • Legal Awareness: Basic knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance standards.
