Monitoring and Observability Architect

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Monitoring and Observability System Architect to join our team. This role involves designing the architecture of network monitoring & observability solutions in conjunction with other systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design scalable architectures for network monitoring & observability solutions.
  • Define standards and best practices for monitoring and observability.
  • Automate data collection, analysis, and visualization in conjunction with other systems.
  • Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements for (auto-)discovery, collect, alerting, correlation, AIOps, dashboard and reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to lead the design and implementation of monitoring and observability solutions.
  • Integrate and optimize the use of Blueplanet UAA and Splunk for cross-domain data correlation, alerting, predictive features, and dashboarding.
  • Contribute to incident management strategies and proactive resolution.
  • Ensure compliance of solutions with security and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Mastery of data networks and their operation, including MPLS, Internet, SDWAN, etc.
  • Experience working with SAFe/Agile teams and familiarity with associated methodologies.
  • Analyze Agile Release Train performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.

Your Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • Significant experience in monitoring, observability, and SRE architecture.
  • Proficiency in Splunk and BluePlanet UAA.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud environments, microservices architectures, and containerization technologies.
  • Deep understanding of data collection and monitoring protocols.
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
