Back End Developer Job Description

The role of a back end developer involves creating efficient software solutions using Node.js, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of software development principles, excellent coding skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing reusable code and libraries for future use, owning and building new modules/features end-to-end independently, and collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and delivery of projects.

Requirements:
  • Any engineering graduate or post-graduate degree
  • BS degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in software development
Desirable Skills:
  • Thorough understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, and its quirks
  • Excellence in at least one framework like Express.js or StrongLoop LoopBack
  • Excellence in at least one JavaScript framework like Vue.js or Ember
  • Basic architectural understanding of modern-day web applications
  • Diligence for coding standards
  • Proficiency in Git and git workflow
  • Experience of external integrations is a plus
  • Working knowledge of AWS, GCC, or Azure
  • Expertise with Linux-based systems
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins is a plus
  • Experience with testing and automation frameworks
  • Extensive understanding of RDBMS systems
