About the Role:

Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an IBM iSeries expert. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system development, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing applications using IBM iSeries RPGLE, CLLE programming, and ILE (Integrated Language Environment).

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of DB2 for iSeries (SQL optimization, stored procedures, data modeling), and familiarity with iSeries operating systems (OS/400) and system tools.

In addition, they should have hands-on experience with iSeries system integration technologies (e.g., API, MQ, XML, FTP) and a good understanding of Agile software development methodology and DevSecOps technologies such as CI/CD and set of tools like Jenkins, Ansible, G3 etc.

The role requires effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and self-driven basis the direction from global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test applications using IBM iSeries RPGLE, CLLE programming, and ILE (Integrated Language Environment)
  • Implement DB2 for iSeries solutions (SQL optimization, stored procedures, data modeling)
  • Develop and maintain iSeries system integration technologies (e.g., API, MQ, XML, FTP)
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • University graduate with a degree in IT or related discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years' hands-on experience in IBM iSeries system development, preferably in large-scale enterprise environments
  • Expertise in IBM iSeries RPGLE, CLLE programming, and ILE (Integrated Language Environment)
  • Familiarity with DB2 for iSeries (SQL optimization, stored procedures, data modeling)
  • Strong understanding of iSeries operating systems (OS/400) and system tools
  • Hands-on experience with iSeries system integration technologies (e.g., API, MQ, XML, FTP)
  • Good understanding of Agile software development methodology and DevSecOps technologies
  • Effective English writing and communication skills
