Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to create technical hardware sets and specifications for the architectural community.

This includes providing professional door hardware specification services, creating hardware sets, editing master specifications, reviewing floor plans, access control requirements, site security plans shared by stakeholders, and providing expert analysis on product applications for various markets.

  • Create technical hardware sets and specifications
  • Provide solutions to architects on product application requirements
  • Participate in project pickup meetings and assist with revisions, access control coordination, and requests for information during all phases of the project
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electronic solutions, including options spanning from mechanical access/egress control to total facility
  • Working knowledge on Specification for Medium complex Verticals (Multi Family, Office, Retail)
  • Ability to read and understand Floor plans, Security plans and Access control requirements
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Building Codes (IBC, NFPA) and Standards
  • BASIC understanding of electricity and electronic components
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • DHI/GAI certifications preferred
