Operational Risk Specialist

The Operational Risk Management (ORM) function is a critical component of an organization's risk framework, operating across the enterprise to manage operational risk exposure in line with group-wide risk appetite.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the degree of implementation and adherence to ORM requirements for 1st Line of Defense (1LoD) and 2nd Line of Defense (2LoD) risk functions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure collective design inputs are considered throughout the implementation and embedding of ORM processes, controls, and minimum standards.
- Stay up-to-date with current and emerging industry trends, risk management practices, and changes in the regulatory and operating environment.
- Support the development of Operational Risk systems, tools, and data infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to Business Continuity Management Procedure and comprehensive testing of all critical business functions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business, finance, risk management, or consulting roles within financial services.
- Familiarity with Operational Risk Management principles and practices, gained through relevant experience in 1LoD risk & control roles, 2LoD risk functions, or Audit.
- Strong working relationships with business areas to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 Lines of Defense model.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail, and focus on quality assurance.
