Job Title:

A Medical Scribe Manager is required to review physician dictation and transcribe visitation notes into patient charts in electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical records from dictation
  • Prepare and assemble medical documentation for physicians
  • Ensure compliance with medical record regulations
  • Update patient information in medical charts
  • Prepare and send documentation to physicians for review
  • Monitor lab results and screening procedures
  • Comply with hospital policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission regulations
  • Perform administrative tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow
  • Assign ICD and CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures
  • Ensure code accuracy and sequencing
  • Communicate with clinical staff regarding documentation
  • Search for information in complex cases
  • Review patient charts and documents for accuracy

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Live Medical Scriber
  • Strong administrative writing skills
  • Reporting and organizational skills
  • Medical coding or certification program completion
  • Bachelor's degree with pre-health career track preferred
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with ICD-X codes and CPT Procedures
  • Proficiency in operating medical record software and hardware
