A leading organization is seeking a highly skilled Project Director with expertise in project lifecycle management.

The ideal candidate will oversee the entire project cycle, including planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capex projects ensuring adherence to scope, time, and budget.
  2. Oversee project design, engineering, procurement, erection, and commissioning activities.
  3. Drive coordination between project and commercial teams to translate technical specifications into commercial terms.
  4. Evaluate and select equipment and technology solutions aligned with industry advancements and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory norms across all project stages.
  6. Conduct technical feasibility studies and risk assessments for upcoming projects.
  7. Liaise with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project integration.
  8. Engage with vendors, assess quotations, and perform competitive analysis for procurement decisions.
  9. Manage project reporting, performance metrics, and stakeholder communication.
  10. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the project execution team.
  11. Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues post-commissioning with O&M insights from papermachine, pulp mill, and utility units.

Required Skillsets:

  1. Strong project management skills with proven experience in CAPEX planning and execution.
  2. In-depth knowledge of pulp and paper industry processes, machinery, and utilities.
  3. Excellent techno-commercial capabilities with strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  4. Hands-on experience in selection, erection, and commissioning of industrial equipment.
  5. Sound understanding of O&M best practices for papermachine, pulp mill, and utility.
  6. Strong leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  7. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  8. Proficient in project documentation, scheduling tools (like MS Project/Primavera), and cost control systems.
