Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited's Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence centre with skilled engineers focusing on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. This centre has evolved over the last decade, becoming the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors.
Mission Statement:
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for administering, consulting, and/or negotiating product/service contracts with external customers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and comprehensive offers/quotations for AIS switchgear RFQ/enquiry, including capacitors, filters, instrument transformers, breakers, etc.
- Determine the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions.
- Collaborate with the Sales Support team to offer solutions to country/region-specific customers.
- Closely collaborate with the Product Group Territory Marketing & Service Sales Managers responsible for the global market.
- Analyze customer needs through general market information and information provided by Service FES/Territory Managers.
- Ensure all proposals follow relevant Hitachi Energy procedures and guidelines.
- Rationalize terms and conditions.
- Review and analyze the offers/quotations technical documents and requirements, identifying the scope of supply, product configuration, and technical deviations.
- Prepare commercial quotations considering different strategies.
- Support ASMs during offers/quotations for adequate follow-up and proper answers during the offer clarification process.
- Coordinate with multiple functions (Design, Project management, SCM, etc.) as part of the tendering activity.
- Conduct cost analysis & lost proposal analysis to improve future offerings.
- Adhere to Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
Your Background:
- Electrical Engineer with 2 to 8 years of professional work experience.
- Work experience in GIS, AIS, Switch gears, or EPC or any high-voltage/medium-voltage electrical product sales & tendering.
- Experience and skills to prepare and support offer/quotations processes.
- Proficiency in Sales/tendering tools.
- Knowledge of Power Grid Market & System offerings.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
