This is a Database Administrator position that involves managing and maintaining databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role, with a focus on database administration. They should also have 2 years of experience in supporting failover clustering, SAN replication, Database Replication, SQL High Availability technologies, Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services.

Additionally, the candidate should have 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and writing complex queries, as well as 3 years of experience in supporting other critical technologies such as MS Exchange, Active Directory, Operating System, AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems, Virtualisation, Storage, and IT Security.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability.
  • Support failover clustering, SAN replication, Database Replication, SQL High Availability technologies, Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services.
  • Troubleshoot and write complex queries.
  • Support other critical technologies such as MS Exchange, Active Directory, Operating System, AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems, Virtualisation, Storage, and IT Security.
  • Work within a financial services organisation to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in a complex corporate IT infrastructure role.
  • 2 years of experience in supporting failover clustering, SAN replication, Database Replication, SQL High Availability technologies, Analysis Services, Integration Services, and Reporting Services.
  • 1 year of experience in troubleshooting and writing complex queries.
  • 3 years of experience in supporting other critical technologies such as MS Exchange, Active Directory, Operating System, AV Protection, Monitoring and configuration Systems, Virtualisation, Storage, and IT Security.
  • Knowledge with Red gate SQL Monitor and Redgate SQL Backup is essential.
  • Previous experience of Data/DevOps including continuous integration is desirable.
  • Previous experience of migrating between versions of SQL Server is desirable.
  • Experience of providing 24/7 production and development support for business critical applications and servers is essential.
