Job Description:

  • Familiarity with Ruby fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming, and object-oriented programming.
  • Deep understanding of memory management, GC tuning, and performance profiling.
  • Experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, and ActiveModel validations.
  • Proficiency in deploying and optimizing Passenger and Thin.
  • Understanding of thread vs. process models, connection handling, worker tuning, and memory profiling.
  • Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and ActiveRecord.
  • Ability to optimize N+1 queries, indexes, and query plans.
  • Proficiency with Bundler, Rake, Rubygems, gem building, and custom gem publishing.
  • Familiarity with RVM, rbenv, and chruby.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Ruby.
  • Deep understanding of OOP, mixins, blocks, procs, and lambdas.
  • Familiarity with memory management, GC tuning, and performance profiling.
  • Experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, and ActiveModel validations.
