About this role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in developing the core infrastructure that powers real-time pricing and analytics in decentralized finance (DeFi). This individual will play a key role in transforming raw on-chain data into actionable insights by decoding smart contract events and implementing pricing logic from decentralized exchanges (DEXs).

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys low-level protocol work, understands DeFi mechanics, and can build robust data pipelines that power real-time pricing engines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing event decoders for major DeFi protocols
  • Building and maintaining data extractors that convert on-chain events into structured trade data
  • Implementing logic to calculate trade prices, including handling swap routing, liquidity pool math, and price inference
  • Collaborating with data and infra teams to build efficient and scalable data ingestion pipelines
  • Optimizing performance and accuracy of pricing models

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–5+ years of backend development experience
  • A strong understanding of Ethereum smart contract ABI decoding and event logs
  • Experience working with DeFi protocols, especially understanding of AMM math, constant product formulas, Uniswap V3 ticks, TWAP / oracle logic, and EVM-based chains
  • Familiarity with EVM-based chains and Ethereum node infrastructure
  • Experience building data extraction or indexing tools
  • The ability to work independently and own complex backend systems
