Project Accounting Specialist

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in delivering successful projects and driving business growth.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project accounting, with a strong understanding of financial management principles and procedures. You will be responsible for managing project costs, revenues, and expenses, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective project accounting strategies to ensure accurate financial reporting and optimal resource allocation.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and variances, providing timely and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of improvement and develop process enhancements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, recommending corrective actions as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Extensive experience in project accounting software, including Oracle Projects Costing, Oracle Projects Billing, and Oracle Projects Management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and reports.
