Housekeeping Operations Director

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations across all properties to ensure consistency in quality and presentation. This involves developing and implementing effective housekeeping procedures, conducting regular property audits, and providing operational support to unit leadership.

This strategic partner to unit management will provide guidance on best practices, process flows, resource allocation, and vendor management to enhance member and guest experience.

  • Develop and standardise housekeeping policies, procedures, and checklists across all properties.
  • Conduct regular property audits, including snag lists for guest spaces, back-of-house, and public areas.
  • Provide training and performance evaluations to housekeeping staff to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to address maintenance issues and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Analyse member and guest feedback related to housekeeping and initiate corrective measures.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including snag closure rates and housekeeping schedules.

Skill requirements include:

  • Proven expertise in managing housekeeping operations in luxury hotels or premium lifestyle clubs.
  • Strong eye for detail and ability to identify discrepancies in upkeep and maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills to influence housekeeping staff.
  • Proficiency in snag list creation and follow-up tracking tools.
  • Strong coordination skills across multiple properties and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

A bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field is required. 8–12 years' experience in housekeeping leadership within luxury hospitality is also needed.
