Mainframe Quality Assurance Specialist

As a professional in mainframe testing, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications. Your key responsibilities include:
- Creation of test strategy and plan documents to define scope and approach.
- Analysis of requirements and identification of test scenarios/designing test cases.
- Preparation of test data/test jobs according to scenarios.
- Execution of test cases by submitting jobs and analyzing results.
- Reporting issues and coordination with development/support teams for fixing errors.
You will work closely with IT developers to analyze COBOL programs, identify input/output files, and edit mainframe files using layouts/copybooks. Verification of database outputs and preparation of test closure reports/signoff are also part of this role.
This position offers the opportunity to participate in capability building and upskilling programs, contribute to training initiatives, and support colleagues in respective domains with relevant expertise.
For this role, we seek a skilled mainframe testing professional with 6+ years of experience in testing life cycles, creating test cases/data/execution as per requirement/design. A good knowledge of editing/creating JCL to submit test batch jobs, TSO/ISPF commands in mainframe, and analyzing logs in spool for abended jobs is essential.
