Apigee Lead

About the Role:

We're seeking an accomplished Apigee professional to spearhead the development, implementation, and evolution of our API Management Platform using Google Apigee.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of API strategy, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies, with proven expertise in delivering scalable and secure API solutions.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of API Management solutions using Google Apigee Edge/X.
  • Develop API proxies, shared flows, policies, and integrations using Apigee Edge.
  • Integrate Apigee with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, LDAP, IAM, and Analytics tools.
  • Establish and enforce security policies including rate limiting, quotas, API key validation, JWT, and mutual TLS.
  • Mentor developers and guide teams on best practices in API management and integration.

Requirements:
  1. Strong hands-on experience with Google Apigee (Edge/X/Hybrid).
  2. Expertise in designing RESTful and event-driven APIs.
  3. Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  4. Good understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native principles.
  5. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes (GKE), and other integration tools.
  6. Deep knowledge of OAuth2.0, JWT, API Gateway, and related API security models.
  7. Experience with tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, Terraform, or other IaC tools is a plus.
