Project Lead Civil Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Lead Civil Engineer to manage and oversee the execution of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing teams, ensuring project timelines are met, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams of engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against these metrics.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and other engineers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor and report project performance, including financials, timelines, and quality metrics.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 14-17 years of experience in civil engineering project management, preferably in retail, commercial, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects with complex scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with construction estimating, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
