Electrical Service Engineer Job Description

Main Responsibilities:
  • Install, service and maintain electrical systems, control panels and industrial machinery.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment such as motors, drives, PLCs and HMIs.
  • Support commissioning and testing of new machines and equipment.
  • Provide technical support to clients and operators regarding equipment usage and performance.
  • Maintain service reports, documentation and records of work completed.
  • Coordinate with project, design and automation teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Travel to customer sites for service, breakdown support and on-site inspections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, schematics and troubleshooting methods.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming, HMI operation and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with motors, drives, sensors and control circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
