Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support our team in ensuring timely compliance with rules on behalf of Brands required to fulfill their Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) targets for plastic and e-waste.

This is a critical role that requires someone who can lead multiple teams, standardize formats according to government, brand, or recykal requirements, and maintain attention to detail, particularly in compliance-related documentation. The successful candidate will have experience in handling operations and be able to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring brands comply with existing regulations
  • Standardizing formats according to government, brand, or recykal requirements
  • Documenting collections and verification as per brand commitments
  • Proactively following up with key brands and stakeholders associated with recykal
  • Maintaining attention to detail, particularly in compliance-related documentation
  • Leading multiple teams on-field and off-field
  • Enhancing team efficiency by optimizing completion processes
  • Fostering constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols
  • Pursuing strategic and operational objectives
  • Ensuring operational activities meet deadlines and stay within scope
  • Tracking staffing requirements and hiring new employees as needed
  • Leading, motivating, and supporting a large team in a fast-paced environment, including career development plans and problem resolution
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve implementation processes

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • 8+ years of experience in handling operations
  • Prior experience in waste management is a plus
  • Able to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade others, build consensus, and work in a team
