Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the inventory management team, ensuring seamless receipt, storage, issuance, and record maintenance of raw materials.
  • Ensure all raw materials are properly labeled, identified, and stored in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular stock verification, cycle counts, and reconciliation of physical vs. system stock to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials without disrupting production processes.
  • Implement and maintain a first-in, first-out (FIFO) or first-expired, first-out (FEFO) system for material issuance to minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover.
  • Monitor storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and cleanliness, to maintain material quality and prevent contamination.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 13485, GMP, and other regulatory standards for raw material handling and inventory management.
  • Manage documentation, including GRNs, stock registers, bin cards, and SAP/ERP entries, to maintain accurate records and facilitate audits.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving, or expired raw materials and coordinate their proper disposal in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring store readiness.
  • Train and supervise inventory management staff on best practices, safety protocols, and SOP adherence.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Science, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or manufacturing industries.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Tally, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques, including FIFO, FEFO, and Just-In-Time (JIT), is essential.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and quality management principles is necessary to ensure adherence to industry standards.
Skills Required:
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory management and material control.
  • Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage a team of inventory management staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability are crucial for success in this role.
